Parts of Speech or Word classes‏

 

 

Every language, has it's own grammar and rules, that anyone wants to learn this language, should learn this rules or it's grammar.
English language has it's own grammar which characterize it from any other languages. If you want to learn English and master it's skills, e.g listening, speaking, writing and etc, you must learn grammar first. English grammar classified words into eight parts, they are called " parts of speech"

Parts  of Speech in English:

In English language, we have eight parts of speech( word classes) that any sentence should have some of them to be correct.

1. Noun: Ahmed, Jessica, work, ball, boy, family and so on.
2. Verb: am, is, are, have, has, had, look, go, study, help, etc.
3. Adjective: good, bad, useful, busy, cheap, etc.
4. Adverb: yesterday, tomorrow, really, tonight, today, etc.
5. Preposition: on, in , at, out, to, by,etc.
6. Conjunction: And. but, so, or, etc.
7. Pronoun: I, he, she, it, we, you, they, etc.
8. Interjection:  A words that we use to convey the meaning or emotion to the sentences.

This are the basic parts of speech, that we use to build a correct sentences in English.
