What is an Adjective?
 
Adjective is a word or a group of words that describes or gives information, feelings, and qualities  about nouns or pronouns. Adjective uses to describes the subject that is doing the action. Adjectives do not
change their form depending on the gender or number of the noun.



Examples:
  • My father is a good man.
  • I was studying in a rely big university in Cairo.
  • The boy plays in a nice way.
-Adjectives come in front of a nouns: " a big boy"
-After verbs like "to be", "to seem" , "to look", "to taste"
We use Adjectives to give us information about the noun: Age, color, size, distance, material etc.

What is the kinds of Adjective?

In English language, we have different types of adjectives:
  1. Possessive adjectives: his, your, their etc. Ex: This is your pen. They are our friends.
  2. Demonstrative adjectives:  That, those, this, their etc. Ex: These oranges are very sweet.
  3.   Quantitative adjective: More, half, some, all etc. 
  4.  Qualitative adjective: size, smell etc.
  5.   Numeric: seven, eight, hundred etc.

Adjective are not normally used without nouns, but there are some exceptions.
we can use  The + adjective to talk about some certain groups of people, like blend, def, poor, etc.
Examples: we can say;

  •  " We should do our best to help the poor"
  •   " He often helps the blind
The Adjectives that come inside nouns are called"  attributive adjectives".
We can also use adjectives after some verbs to describe the subject of the verb, in this case , this kind of adjectives are called " predicative adjectives". Examples: She is beautiful,  this car is old, etc.
